The UK’s first dedicated electric bike show will be launched in 2021 at London’s Alexandra Palace from 25 – 27 June. The London e-Bike Festival will co-locate with the Cycle Show, the UK’s biggest and longest-running bike exhibition, which returns to the capital after nine years at the NEC in Birmingham.
The new event offers an opportunity for brands to meet with highly-engaged consumers, eager to see and buy the latest electric bikes. The venue provides the flexibility, indoor space and outdoor terrain needed to deliver a truly unique cycling experience for visitors. Showcasing all the best brands and the very latest electric bikes, with a theatre dedicated to all things eBikes and a host of experts on-hand, and offering a unique chance to test ride 100s of electric bikes from folders to full suspension mountain bikes in parkland in the heart of London.
The show is organised by Upper Street Events and Immediate Media, the owners of Bike Radar, Cycling Plus, MBUK and 220 Triathlon, plus hugely popular titles such as Radio Times, BBC Top Gear and BBC Good Food. The marketing campaign for the London eBike Festival will reach a combined 3.85m cyclists, plus millions more general-interest consumers across the company’s channels to deliver the key, hard-to-reach eBike buying audiences;
- enthusiast cyclists looking to expand their riding with a new eBike
- an electric bike-curious community of leisure riders
- and large numbers of London commuters who have abandoned cars and public transport and are looking for the ideal two-wheeled solution.
The 196 acres of parkland around the venue has played host to events from Red Bull’s Empire of Dirt to the Rapha Supercross. It’s the perfect location for consumers to get hands on with their new bike, visitors will get to test bikes on steep climbs, through challenging woodland single track and lifelike commuter roads. After the test rides, visitors will be able to chat to brands in the demo village.
The show is perfectly timed and located to capitalise on the boom of cycling in London. Offering permanent parking for over 1,500 cars, along with overspill parking, accessibility via multiple public transport routes and beautiful parkland for those looking to enjoy a day out on foot or by bike, Alexandra Palace is the perfect playground for Londoners looking to enjoy a fantastic day out.
